ACE Audio Visual is asking all visitors to be aware of cheap imitation projector lamps which are currently on the European market. 

Projector lamps are an advanced piece of lighting technology. These small lamps have the potential to fill a projection screen at high contrast in a bright room. These lamps have gone through many years of development to reach the highest of standards.There are only 7 companies in total who make projector lamps, they are: Philips; Osram; Iwasaki; Ushio; Phoenix; Epson & Matsushita.

There are companies in Asia copying original lamps and in some cases illegally using their brands, these lamps have now found there way onto the European market.

These copied lamps are:

• Not as reliable
• Don't perform as well
• Don't last as long
• Might be dangerous
• Poor value for users
• May lead to legal action from original manufacturers

Spotting these lamps can be tricky, they appear in original manufacturers boxes, use brands and suggest they are 'Original Products' Be aware of lamps that are too cheap.
