Why choose LED’s over conventional light bulbs
- LED bulbs have a much longer life span, LED’s last approximately 50,000 hours compared to 5000 hours of a standard light bulb, this is like getting 5/6 years of continuous light without changing the bulb.
- LED bulbs use minimal amounts of power, from 1w, 3w or 5w bulbs this is a percentage of traditional light bulbs and results in much reduced electricity costs.
- Low heat is emitted from the bulbs which means there is no wasted energy, plus heat generated in a working environment generally has to be cooled using expensive air conditioners.
- UV rays transmitted from LED’s are a tenth of those given out by traditional light bulbs, therefore minimal damage is being done to products stored under the direct beam of light e.g. clothes on display will not fade.
- There is a large range to choose from to suit many requirements, choose from lamps, strip-lights, globes, spot lights, recessed styles, pendant, underwater and various colour changing types.
